Somerset ISD has partnered with Brighter Bites a non-profit aimed at delivering fresh produce to families. Students and families will also receive nutrition education and fun recipes through the Brighter Bites app.
Families who are enrolled will receive at least 20lbs of fresh fruits and vegetables to take home every two weeks. Somerset ISD volunteers will spend a couple of hours assembling the bags at Early Childhood Elementary, Somerset Elementary, and Barrera Veterans Elementary.
