Somerset ISD invites students, families and community members to join us for American Stories: Celebrating the Cultures That Have Made Up the United States on Thursday, October 1, from 5–6:30 p.m. on the Performing Arts Center lawn.
As America approaches its 250th anniversary in 2026, this special event will celebrate the rich heritage, traditions and contributions of the many cultures that have helped shape our nation.
Attendees will have the opportunity to explore and celebrate cultures represented throughout American history, including German, English, Irish, Mexican, Asian, Native American and African American heritage.
The evening will feature opportunities to learn more about the traditions, food, art, music and stories that make each culture unique and contribute to the strength and character of our nation.
Through art, food, traditions, presentations and cultures, American Stories will encourage our students and community to appreciate where we've come from while looking toward the future.
Together, we are America.
