Somerset ISD is excited to welcome our youngest learners and their families to the Pre-K & Kindergarten Registration Roundup for the 2026–2027 school year. This event is designed to help parents register their children, learn about early learning programs, and take the first step in their child’s educational journey.
The roundup will serve families zoned to Somerset Early Childhood Elementary and Barrera Veterans Elementary.

Dates & Times:
March 3, 2026: 8:00–11:00 a.m. & 1:00–2:45 p.m.
March 4, 2026: 8:00–11:00 a.m. & 1:00–2:45 p.m.
March 5, 2026: 8:00–11:00 a.m. & 1:00–2:45 p.m.
A parent/guardian and child must be present to complete registration.
What to Bring
To be considered for registration, parents/guardians must bring printed copies of the following documents:
Parent/Guardian Texas state-issued ID, driver’s license, or passport
Proof of address (property tax statement, utility bill, lease agreement under the parent/guardian’s name, or a notarized statement)
Child’s up-to-date immunization record
Child’s official birth certificate (required)
Child’s Social Security card
Proof of income (2025 1040, pay stub, or notarized employer statement of wages)
Children in foster care, experiencing homelessness, or from families receiving public assistance (TANF or SSI) may qualify for services regardless of income.
Head Start & Early Childhood Services
Head Start representatives will be on site to assist families with PK3 and PK4 intake information.
PK3 students must meet income-based qualifications
Families may be asked to provide official documentation for foster care or public assistance
