Robotics trip

On Monday, May 22, more than 100 students from Somerset ISD’s Robotics program learned about San Antonio’s technology and entrepreneurial ecosystem through a field trip funded by Braustin Homes, the nation’s first virtual mobile home dealership. The trip was held at at Geekdom, San Antonio’s collaborative startup space in the heart of downtown, students in grades 4 through 8th spoke with local startup founders and be encouraged to explore careers in technology.

 In addition, the students demonstrated their robotics project, which recently won a high-achieving Core Values Award at the First Lego League Regionals competition against 215 teams. Our students received feedback from members of Port San Antonio’s Women in Robotics organization.
