On September 29th around 7:30 a.m. Somerset Early Childhood Elementary, Somerset Elementary School, Somerset High School, and Shirleen Zacharias Early College Leadership Academy campuses were placed on a safety lockdown. After Somerset ISD Police Department received reports of an adult male displaying a firearm during a road rage incident on 1604.
The man was spotted on K Street and apprehended by Somerset Police and Bexar County Sheriff’s Office. Once the individual was in custody Somerset ISD Police lifted the lockdown.
We appreciate the community’s diligence at this time and the school day will resume as usual.
